AUDIT LOGGING
The audit logging records all operations and activities carried out by automatics on the SAP systems and the SAP infrastructure. These logs include, among other things, information such as timestamps, users, actions and the result of these actions (detailed log output). Based on this, all results of the audit and validation workflows provided by automatics are written to the audit logs. This means that administrators or security and compliance departments can easily document and query the status of your SAP systems. Examples are:
Validation of which security notes or hot news recommended by SAP are not yet implemented in the SAP systems or when they were implemented
At what point in time a patch was installed on the SAP systems
Which profile parameters or HANA DB parameters are set on the systems and what their status is
Audit logs and audit reports are important tools for monitoring and checking the operation of SAP systems. They ensure tracking of activities within a system and enable SAP Basis administrators to quickly identify and fix potential security risks or errors.
AUDIT
REPORTING
Audit reporting is another important tool for monitoring the operation of IT infrastructures. It allows IT administrators to collect the data from the audit logs, analyze them and present them in a user-friendly form. This allows IT administrators to identify trends and problems within the system and react quickly to ensure the system is functioning properly.

A key benefit of audit reporting is its ability to meet compliance requirements. Audit reports for IT systems are required by law in many industries and IT administrators must ensure that they provide the required information. Audit reports can also help identify and prevent potential security issues by enabling IT administrators to make timely changes to system settings or processes.

SECURITY & COMPLIANCE DASHBOARD
SAP security standards, custom regulatory guidelines and security policies can be validated through various automated audit workflows.
For policy definition and scope of audit jobs, see the Security & Compliance module.

automatics evaluates the SAP system configurations based on these standards and guidelines. Based on the assessments, it indicates whether or not the SAP system is compliant with the standard or with your custom guidelines and provides detailed information about the deviations.
